Hair-pulling mokeys, Wild Jaguar, and talking birds...

For the past couple of days i have been hanging out on the mainland with Taylor, Heather, and My Mom on a resort called "Banana Bank Lodge", it was in the middle of nowhere, in the jungle. They had a HUGE swimming pool, a horse ranch, 2 spider monkeys, many birds that liked to say "hello" alot(mostly parrots), ab baby crocodile, a deer,and a jaguar. It was like a miniture zoo. we had lots of fun, we met many new people. I made friends with a someone named Chris my age. He moved here from Connecticut 1 year ago. My Mom is friends with His Mom, Debra. My Mom and the rest of them got to come to the resort a day earlier than me because the day we were leaving to go we were in a big rush and my backpack with all of my clothes unfortunently fell off the golf cart on our way, but luckily i got to fly over the next day with Francis. At the resort Taylor, Chris and I went horseback riding in the rainforest, boy was that fun!We all had a blast and hopefully we will be able to go back to Banana Bank soon!

The Coral Reef...

Recently Heather, My Mom, Taylor and I got to experience The Coral Reef. We saw many fish and other sea creatures like lobsters and crabs. My mom saw a stingray, Heather saw a shark and Taylor and I saw a few smaller things. We thought the Reef was great. We plan to go visit Hol Chan, a big area where there are HUGE fish and sharks. After the Reef we came home and watched a few movies then fell asleep because we were exhausted! We can't wait for next time!

At The Animal Hospital...

Recently Taylor and I volunteered at The San Pedro Animal Hospital. Taylor was very excited because she wants to be a vet when she grows up. Being there was a great experience, we saw a little dog get neutered and we met a few of the dogs there, there was Gabi, King, Pete, Kuda and a little kitty that unfortunently had to be put down because it had a block in it's bladder and couldn't "go". But I suppose it was the best thing for it. Taylor and I do think we will return to the Animal Hospital again.

After school...

After school My Mom, Alexis and I came home to the place we are staying, Alexis and I did our homework and watched some T.V because the weather isn't too nice right now, it's a bit chilly. My Mom had a nap while we watched T.V and then we went to town and got a bite to eat, stopped at the Bakery got a brownie and dropped Alexis off at home. Then we came home and ate dinner. Uniforms and high socks~

Today was my first day of school! It was fun, with some thumbs down... Having your own mom as a math teacher of your class is okay I guess, but she always knows what your homework is so she'll know if you do it or not. Annother displeasure is getting up at 6:45 to go to school (School starts at 8:00). But although there are a few things that aren't my pleasure school's got some nice things about it, the kids are nice, the teachers are friendly, the food is good etc... So far school is deffinently going well and I hope to keep it this way.

Caribean Villas, Belize

This is trivia night at caribean villas.

Just annother day...

Today we spent an hour or two at Lara's house. My mom and Laurie are friends of Lara's. I spent most of my time there with her dog, Luna, at the beach. Later on in the day I went to the dentist because my wire of my braces was irritating my cheek. After that we dropped Laurie off at her house and we went home. During the evening we went to Pedro's, Laurie and my mom ordered some curry. Today was a fun day, tomorrow I am going to hang out with Alexis while mom does some stuff. It'll be a fun day!

Trivia Night

Today my mom and i went out to eat for lunch at a small reteraunt, I cannot remember the name of it but it was very good. I had stew chicken and fresh watermelon juice. Later on my mom had to go out so Laurie and I went to Trivia night at a resort on the island. It was alot of fun I ate some chicken for dinner there and it was delicious. When the game started we were losing bigtime but after a while we made it up to third place. Last round we were tied in 2nd the we ended up losing. The winning team got 50$ towards drinks at the bar. After trivia I got a virgin Pina colada, my favourite! It was the second one I've had on the island and it was very good. I will keep posting blogs throughout my trip and will keep everybody updated, Bye for now!

Hanging with Alexis...

Today was a fun day, I went into town on the golf cart with my mom and Laurie, we had breakfast at Estls. It was great. Later on we saw Alexis. He is someone my age that my mom knows pretty well so while my mom ran some errands I decided to hang out with Alexis on the beach. He works for his mother because he speaks English well and he makes communication easier with the customers. He makes and sells bracelets, anklets, wooden decorations, necklaces, etc... Early in the day around 1:00 he asked me if I wanted to make a anklet so I took the offer and we made one together. After we did this we went to the dock and played on a surfboard that he found on the beach I was fully dressed but I didn't care that much if I fell in because I was wearing board shorts which dry quickly. I ended up going in knee deep and within 20 minutes I was dry. Around 3:00 Alexis and I went snorkeling at Ramons dock, We saw hundreds of fish and I saw one stingray on my way out. We were going to go fishing but we didn't have time today so we just are going to go tomorrow. That was it for today. I will have more to come tomorrow.

Belize airport

This picture is of me at the Belize airport getting on the plane to get to San Pedro. The plane ride is approx. 20 minutes. It was the best plane ride ever!

The plane......

The plane ride was okay, we left the toronto airport at 8:20 a.m and arrived in Miami, florida around 11:30 a.m. At the airport I had some delicious sushi for lunch. During the plane ride to Florida I slept for a majourity of the time due to my lack of sleep the night before. When my mother and I arrived in Belize we had noticed one of our bags was missing, the worst part was it was MINE! my clothes, fishing rod, snorkeling gear... Anyway on a better scale, when we arrived in San Pedro we met up with some family members and we hung out for a little bit where we are staying then we went out to eat for some fresh seafood burritos MMMMM... so far Belize has been so much fun I can't wait for tomorrow!
